Following a screening of the short film “Tateh”, about a secular kibbutznik who becomes a Breslover Hasid, this session will discuss the historic tensions between these identities and their merging in recent years.

This session will discuss the role of women in Israeli society today by learning about leading Israeli female activists. Each woman will tell a different story from her social background and will represent a different unique approach to contemporary feminism.

Following a screening of the short film “Cleaning Time” about Ethiopian Israelis, this session will discuss the exodus of Ethiopian Jews, their challenging integration into Israel within the general context of Israeli multiculturalism.
