Join us for the first installment of Parents' Book Club, featuring the book The Assignment, by Bridget Liza Wiemer. We will meet in the Jacobs Family Community Hall to discuss the book together and Author & award winning educator, Liza Wiemer, will join via Zoom to answer questions and guide us in conversation.

Book synopsis: When an assignment, given by a favorite teacher, instructs a group of students to argue for the Final Solution, a euphemism for the Nazi plan of genocide of the Jewish people, students are horrified. As the school administration addresses the teens’ refusal to participate in the appalling debate, the situation explodes, and acrimony and anger result. What does it take for tolerance, justice, and love to prevail? 

Inspired by a true incident, The Assignment will remind readers that they have choices - and that their choices can make a difference.
