Our Shared Commitment At Congregation Beth El, we believe synagogue membership is about inclusion and participation. Our Shared Commitment allows each member to contribute a Membership Commitment that is a meaningful and appropriate donation for them. Membership Commitment Your Membership Commitment, as part of Our Shared Commitment model, helps cultivate purposeful Jewish engagement for all synagogue members and provides a home for every soul who wishes to join our synagogue family. While we recognize that our members have different means and that each donation is personal, we ask that all members consider making a Membership Commitment at the Sustaining Amount of $3,869. The Sustaining Amount represents the total contributions per household necessary to cover the annual operating expenses as projected for this year at Congregation Beth El. Honor Roll Our Honor Roll members play a critical role in helping Congregation Beth El be a spiritual home for all who desire to engage with us. Our Honor Roll members’ elevated giving enables Congregation Beth El to offer relevant and innovative programming as we work to ensure a strong Jewish future. Honor Roll members choose to make additional Membership Commitment donations of $613 or higher, including a Kol Nidre contribution if desired, in addition to the Sustaining Amount of $3,869. Honor Roll members receive preferred parking on campus during the High Holy Days as well as front section High Holy Day service seating in the Jacobs Family Community Hall. Each Honor Roll family is invited to attend a Shabbat Dinner or synagogue program as our guests. Honor Roll members are invited to exclusive gatherings with notable guests who visit our community and other special events. Most of all, our Honor Roll members’ tzedakah generosity enables Congregation Beth El to continue to be a spiritual and personal resource for all our members.
